Diary of a Mad Fat Woman:Mamavation Mon & Food Journal

Ok, I'm not really mad. Here is my food Journal for the week w/a tiny bit of exercise thrown in.

Sun, Jan 31st
Coffee w/1% milk & splenda
Breakfast: wheat bagel w/Fabio & a nanner
24 oz of water down
24 oz of water down
lunch: hummus w/carrots & most of a strawberry yogurt that m decided she didn't like. i cup v8 berry
Dinner: eggs w/roast beef, mushrooms, avocado & cheese. wheat bagel w/Fabio. small cup of cream soda. 2 pc of bacon (stinkin hubby had to cook it & it had to smell so good!), icky v8 low sodium (1 cup)
1 sliver of chocolate chip danish & cup of 2% milk

Mon, Feb 1st
coffee w/splenda & 2% milk
raisin brain w/ 1 or 2% milk (at mom's)
lean pocket garlic chicken, mushroom & wht sauce, hummus & carrots
hot cocoa made w/2%
chili, fritos, cheese & cup of cream soda

I walked around the mall today. not much, but it counts!!!!

Tues, Feb 2nd
coffee w/splenda & 2% milk
Smart ones breakfast sammich (canadian bacon egg & cheese), nanner
danced around the kitchen (food makes me happy, i guess) = )
Smart Ones roast beef & mashed tatos, (m's bowl-full of) yogurt, honey, granola & cinnamon (yum!)
about a tablespoon of cookie dough
cheddar cheese & apple (prob more cheese than i need, but i'll adjust next time)
48 oz of water down so far
did 20 jumping jacks w/Francee Haydel on twitter
24 oz of water
2 sm slices of turkey roast (i made it!!!) & 4 slices of sweet potato

Wed, Feb 3rd
coffee in the usual way
Smart Ones breakfast sammich w/cheese, egg & canadian bacon & a nanner
1 piece of turkey roast torn up & put into 2 med tortillas w/1 slice of cheddar ripped in 1/2 (so yum!) & plain yogurt w/cinnamon, honey & granola (ah heaven!)
48 oz of water so far
20 lunges (thanks to Francee Haydel on twitter)
24 oz of water
2 slices of turkey roast & mac n cheese
a little more water

Thurs, Feb 4th
coffee w/Splenda & 2% milk
wheat bagel w/a slice of cheddar & a nanner, 1 cup of v8 berry
24 oz of water
hummus & carrots, yogurt w/granola, honey & cinnamon
24 oz of water
scrubbed dishes (yes & i'm counting as exercise) & did 10 girly push-ups & 10 crunches (w/Francee on twitter)
eggs & turkey bacon (5 pieces-a lot, I know)
yogurt w/honey, cinnamon, & granola
24 oz of water

Problems: I'm getting grossed out with all the chewing. Everything is getting mushy & the textures are making it hard for me to eat slow. I want to either rush through it or not eat. I don't like the mushy!

Fri, Feb 5th
coffee w/splenda & 2%- 2 cups
kashi go lean crunch w/2% milk
24 oz of water
lean cuisine ravioli
32 oz of water
crap! no fruits or veggies today! downed a cup of v8, yuck!
nachos w/carne asada & sour cream (my go-to junk) & dr pepper
32 oz of water

Sat, Feb 6th
coffee w/the usual
1/2 of a carne asada burrito (meat & tortilla only), 1 cup of v8
32 oz of water
grabbed a turkey burger patty at my mom's (literally just grabbed it out of the fridge & ate it~it was cooked), oh & 1/2 a piece of chocolate cake
Carl's Jr Grilled cheese (meat bacon, cheese~I won't do it again, I didn't like it much) & fries & root beer
16 or 17 oz of water
When I run around, I have a hard time meeting my water goal. & As you can see, today was not a very good eating day!

I did fairly well most of the week w/my eating. I ate slow(Thank you, Pete Cohen), I grossed myself out & may not want to eat again~ever. I lost 1/2 a lb this week. Not great, but the scale at least didn't go up.

I didn't move as much as I had hoped, but I did a lot of running around the house, even if it was just to pee...& trust me, I did run to pee. I have a friend on Twitter that is making me get off the computer & do 20 of something, maybe I need random people to do this as well!

My goal for this week again is to get my ass moving. I feel the weight will come off easier if I move!

Ok, there's more video than I wanted &the quality is shit, but the beginning was the part I wanted.

Fun w/Friends

Last week Gena from Fairytales & Puppy Dog Tails (formerly known as the Morris Bunch) paid Cali a little visit!

Kadi & I were lucky enough to be a stop on her trip! For anyone lucky enough to know Kadi, you know that where ever she goes, some sort of wackiness will ensue.

I would have had this video up sooner, but I had hoped to clean it up some. I had done just that when my computer froze & I lost my changes. Must be a sign, right?



It was so great to meet Gena! It wasn't really like meeting her, though, it was like seeing an old friend that you haven't seen in a while. If you've read Gena's blog or had the pleasure of talking to her on Twitter or somewhere, it's like you've met her already. She's the same person (which is lovely)...yep, she's a dork! A dork with the cutest tummy ever!

Thank you both for a wonderful evening out! I can't wait until Gena comes out again!

Update

I was just reading through some of my old posts cuz I was curious to see how long I've had the ol' Mentally Inked open. While reading, I found out 3 things. 1. MI will be a year old in March (already!) 2. At the end of June, I'll have been a non-smoker for a year! (pause for applause) 3. Some of my posts aren't half bad!

In the next couple of weeks I will be moving over to Word Press. Yes, I'm making the change! I am pretty excited about that & would be already writing over there, if I were happy w/the appearance, but I am not.

I will let you all know when it happens so you can join me!

Happy Music Monday!

I took a little break from Music Monday last week cuz, well, I just wasn't feelin it. So now I'm back (from outer space), & you now get some fun stuff.

I have been watching the Bring It On movies, as most of you know (& are disgusted by), & so I decided to use some of the music from them & Stick It. I even used some songs from other movies I've been watching lately. Anyway, then I went 80s & 90s, which I blame on Victoria. I told her I'd put NKOTB in & I did! Some are in there cuz they're just plain fun!

My point is this: I had fun w/this one & I hope you enjoy it. If you don't, I figure there's no pleasing you, so you can suck it. Ok, that's just mean! Enjoy & don't make me be mean to you!

Mon, Jan 25th

coffee w/splenda & 1% milk
Breakfast: eggs w/turkey, cheddar cheese, & avocado & 2 pc of wheat toast w/Fabio
hot cocoa made w/1% milk
Lunch: Turkey, Provolone & avocado on wheat toast (sammich-mm mm m mm mm) w/yogurt, honey, & granola
Dinner: Wendy's chicken sammich & caesar salad
72 oz of water so far
sliver of choc chip danish (pms, you threaten to take away my sweets, we're gonna have a problem)

I chewed as slowly as I could. Sometimes, I had to remind myself.

Tues, Jan 26th
coffee w/splenda & 1% milk
breakfast: kashi go lean crunch
yummy hot cocoa
24 oz of water
I DID LUNGES!!!! OMG, THANK YOU SARAH FOR SUGGESTING I DO THEM WHILE ON THE PHONE! I HATE THEM, BUT I ACTUALLY DID THEM!!!!
Lunch: Lean Pocket the garlic chicken one, 1 nanner

Dinner: Second verse, same as the first...j/k We had Wendy's again, so the same thing as last night minus the danish

Wed, Jan 27th
coffee w/splenda & 1% milk
breakfast/lunch: Hummus & whole wheat pita chips, 1 cup of v8 berry (yummy, all of it!)
1 happy cow cheese
1 cup of v8 berry
roast beef, mashed tatoes & carrots, broccoli, cauliflower (sm cup of cream soda)
72 oz of water

Breakfast & lunch is bad, I know. I went to the store & missed breakfast. I just got my pyramid & don't really feel like eating eating. But I'm making up for it. Get this, I'm making dinner! Ok, pick your jaw up of the floor. Yup, I'm making a roast!

Thurs, Jan 28th
coffee w/splenda & 1% milk
Breakfast: Lean Pocket w/eggs bacon & cheese
Lunch: Hummus, carrots & whole wheat pita chips
Dinner: Chili, Fritos, & cheese (I ate slow & savored) sm cup of cream soda
Dessert: 1 snickerdoodle & 1 tiny piece of dough
64 oz of water (I fell asleep before being able finish)

Fri, Jan 29th
coffee w/splenda & 1% milk
Breakfast: Eggs w/roast beef (yep, from my roast!), mushrooms, & cheese & a whole wht bagel w/Fabio
Lunch: Hummus, wheat pita chips & carrots
1 snickerdoodle
48 oz of water so far
12 oz blue moon
Dinner: clam chowder, 1 biscuit, 1/2 size portion crab alfredo, 1 margarita (Red Lobster-so super yummy all of it!) I think I got a bite of salad in there too b4 dinner came
16 oz of water

I had dinner w/friends at Red Lobster. Yummy!

Sat, Jan 30th
coffee w/splenda & 1% milk
Breakfast:eggs w/roast, mushrooms & cheese & a wheat bagel w/Fabio
Lunch: Hummus w/carrots & wheat pita chips, v8 berry
1 sugar cookie w/sprinkles
Dinner: nachos w/carne asada, cheese, & sour cream & a sm cup of cream soda
64 oz of water


I've lost 3 lbs this week! I'm back at the weight when I started (I think...Leah?)! I think most of you know that I am on medication for my thyroid &for high blood pressure. A couple weeks ago, I was out of both for a few days-1 week & put on 5 lbs that week. Last week I was at 214.5 & was happy, but thought it was a fluke & didn't mention it.

I've come to realize how important my medicine is. Yes, I know they're important to my health or I wouldn't be on them, but they are also important to my weight. I put on over 30 lbs last year before we knew I had a thyroid problem. The year before, I trained for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer & not only did I not lose any weight, I put it on. WTF, right? Meds are important!

Anyway, while not eating perfectly, I have cleaned up my act a lot & I think it's starting to show. My goal for this week is to start exercising. Short & simple, that is my goal.

I have been eating slower thanks to Pete Cohen (I made that my goal for this last week) & I think it makes a big difference.

Kim (Pity) Party of 1, Your Table Is Ready

When everything seems to be going to shit, it's so hard to stay positive! Like for everything else lately, I'm going to blame the dreaded pms. I feel like I want to cry right now & I'm not even sure why.

Ok, maybe I having a feeling. I had a wonderful chat with a friend that I haven't spoken to in a while, & all the crap (that y'all have already read about & are over) came back to me as I was sharing.

The job loss still brings me to tears. I haven't been able to look for another job. I need to get over this crap! It's gone! Yes, it was so fucking perfect for me that it's scary, but it obviously wasn't meant to be.

My dryer has a split personality; it wants to either scorch my clothes (towels, sheets, whatever) or not dry them at all.

I don't know if you've heard or not, but my heater seems to have gotten that same split personality. It has been under 60 degrees in my house for several days now.

I seem to be having problems w/my eating. I know a lot of you don't read my food journal, & I don't blame you. It's boring & doesn't concern you.

The biggest pain to me/us lately? The wonderful rain that Cali has needed, tried to take my house out! Ok, it tried to help us get a skylight. I see that now! I wish it had given us a little more warning. It started to swell & then finally started to break away. Eric finally had to pull part of it down, so it didn't fall (wet drywall is very heavy) & shatter the glass on our shower.

Here is my new roof-light. It doesn't show me the sky, but I have a fab view of the roof!

Let's leave this on a happy note. I don't know what he's saying, but it makes me feel good.
