Goals for the new week:
- Screw moving, I need to get some exercise, even if it's just starting out slow
- I need to go to the store & get me some good food
- Take my meds every day
- Drink my water~chug, Chug, CHUG!!!!
- Since I'm going to the store for good food, I may as well eat it
I will do better this week. I will do better this week. I will do better this week. I will do better this week.
Peace & Love
p.s. DRINK!!!!
Stop feeling guilty - when you feel guilty you sabotage yourself. Moderation is key. Seriously, make the water bottle an extension of your arm. After a while you won't even think twice about it. Love ya, you can do it!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big believer in baby steps. You may be trying to take on too much at once. Why don't you take a couple of things and focus on that. One diet related and one fitness related. Losing weight is like a marathon...none of us really expect to finish in first place. We just want to finish. So don't feel like you have to do EVERYTHING at once and do it perfectly. I lost weight over a long time and made small changes a bit at a time to do it.
ReplyDeleteAnd when you don't do things perfectly, just move on. You aren't going to be perfect anyways...that's so boring...perfection I mean. And with the name mentallyinked...you can't be boring! XXOO
I agree moderation is key. Guily feeling is natural but in the end just makes you want to give up. You've done amazing already, I mean you knew you could have ate more but you DIDN'T that's a great accomplishment and you shared the desert so that's a plus too! You've got a great start going with the eating and it won't happen over night so feeling guilty doesn't help lol.
ReplyDeleteawwww....don't feel guilty! i think as long as we are aware of what/when we eat something "bad"
ReplyDeleteit makes us think twice about it the next time.
i wasn't very good this week either.....
but Monday is a new day of a new week.
keep it up ...
xoxoxo
And you and Lisa, omg the wawa drinking you're doing is great! I know I am not drinking that much. Tomorrow is a new day and think "small". No matter how bad you feel about what you're doing or not doing, you ARE accomplishing something.
ReplyDeleteBaby steps, honey. I started off only being able to exercise for 5 minutes at a clip, now I'm up to an hour.
ReplyDeletePark at the very end of the parking lot when you go to the grocery store!!! :) I do it and it helps with baby step exercise!!!
ReplyDeleteGirl, I didn't eat well this week either. My weekends are starting to kick my butt. That's when everything goes haywire. My water weight goes up and stays up for a couple of days. My salt intake goes loopy too. Blech. Takes a couple of days to go back down--even with working out.
ReplyDeleteLove the title of this post. Can't help but be a bad bad girl sometimes. Eh. Do what you can do, I say. Feel good about the success, and be happy for the failures - because if you're failing at something, it means you've tried. put forth some effort. Way better than quitting, which means just giving up. Right?
ReplyDeleteHere's to a kick ass week.
I totally agree with Leah. Maybe you're trying to do too many things?
ReplyDeleteAnd you are so right - this is the beginning of a new week! Each day is a new beginning, so shake off yesterday and move on! You can do it!
I didn't have the greatest week, but this is a new week and I am still going forward, even if it is slowly! You can do it and we are here for you!
ReplyDeleteI am saying the same thing this week too! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGoing to the grocery and having my menu planned out is key for me, too. So here's to a new week, and keep resisting that country-fried steak! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love your "um, I drank some.." Ha! I'm bad at getting my water in too. I've seen you tweeting about it, and it has helped remind me. So I'll try to do the same for you. Also - if you are doing *anything* better than what you did before, then you are moving in the right direction. Just keep going that way, and you'll get there. You will kick ass next week, I can feel it! ;)
ReplyDeleteTake it easy on yourself. It sounds like you're focusing on too many things at once. Focus on one at a time. You seem to have your water under control. We need to have a drinking game! Everytime a #mamavation hash tag scrolls by in your twitter feed, you need to drink a shot of water. You'll have your daily limit in your system in no time. lol
ReplyDeleteWriting down your foods helps...I started really taking control of what I ate once I started journaling. It's helped me immensely. I am not perfect, and I do screw up, but now I am not oblivious to it, and the next day I try to make smart choices. Good work!
Planning is key! Great steps! i'm always saying... if you dont buy it you wont eat it. Keeping healthy foods in the house will help alot! small steps and consistency is key! KEEP IT UP!
ReplyDeleteBaby steps, baby steps!! You can do this!!!
ReplyDeleteJust being aware of the foods you are eating is the first step to health & wellness. I bet this week will be better - you can do this!
ReplyDeleteYou will do better next week!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I will join ya? I need to start eating healthy and doing that other stuff too. Ya know, it starts with an "E".
Why does it cost so freaking much to eat healthy though??
